1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Newquay House Clearance (“we”, “us”, “our”), including house clearance, rubbish removal, and man with a van services. By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and pricing

All quotes are provided free of charge and with no obligation. Prices are based on the information you supply (volume, access, location, and type of items). If the actual job differs significantly from the description given, we reserve the right to adjust the price or decline the work. Final prices will be agreed before work begins wherever possible.

3. Booking and cancellation

Bookings can be made by phone or through our website quote form. We will confirm the agreed date, time, and price. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. Late cancellations may incur a reasonable charge if we have already allocated resources to your job.

4. Access and preparation

You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property and the items to be cleared or moved. Please inform us in advance of any access restrictions, parking issues, or items that require special handling. We cannot accept responsibility for delays or additional costs caused by restricted access that was not disclosed.

5. Items we cannot take

We cannot accept hazardous waste, including but not limited to asbestos, chemicals, solvents, gas bottles, clinical waste, or explosives. If such items are discovered during a job, we will discuss the appropriate next steps with you. Certain electrical items and appliances may be subject to separate recycling regulations.

6. Ownership and authority

By instructing us, you confirm that you have the legal right to dispose of or move the items concerned (for example as owner, tenant with permission, or executor). We accept no liability for removing items where authority was not properly held.

7. Insurance and liability

We carry public liability insurance and, where applicable, goods-in-transit cover. Our liability is limited to the level of our insurance cover. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, or for damage arising from items that were already unstable, poorly packed, or unsuitable for transport. Any claim must be reported to us promptly.

8. Payment

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Payment is typically due on completion of the job unless otherwise agreed. We accept the payment methods notified to you at the time of booking.

9. Waste disposal

All waste removed by us is disposed of through licensed facilities. We operate as licensed waste carriers. Waste transfer notes can be provided on request for landlords, managing agents, and executors.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
